App Detail

“Simply the best.”

Unlock the wisdom of the ancient Chinese oracle with this beloved app crafted for both curious beginners and deep-diving devotees. Ask a question, get a thought-provoking answer — no gimmicks, no fake bamboo wallpaper — just the 2000-year-old original text and a fresh, poetic, modern interpretation.

This free trial version gives you five free consultations or five free days to try it out, explore the features, and decide if it's right for you.

Built on an open-source engine that replicates the ancient yarrow stalk method with mathematical precision, this app honors tradition while embracing clarity, accessibility, and the pure love of what Carl Jung called "meaningful coincidence" and what mystics have described as "the voice of the universe whispering through patterns."

⸻

Features include:
• Ask & Receive: Immediate access to the oracle — just open the app and ask your question
• Hexagram Library: Browse all 64 hexagrams and every changing line — by number, trigram, image, or text
• ✍️ Journaling: Save unlimited readings with notes, searchable by text or hexagram
• Casting Methods: Use animated coins, toss your own, or manually build a hexagram
• Night Mode & Font Scaling: Easy on the eyes, customizable for all
• Smart Search: Lookup any hexagram (e.g. enter “11.16” for Hexagram 11 with changing lines 1 and 6)
• AutoSave Option: Never lose a cast — unless you want to
• Trial Mode: 10 days or 10 consults, full features, no rush
• Gua Reference Screens: Link hexagrams to chakras, feng shui, body parts, Human Design, and more
• Multiple Translations: Wilhelm–Baynes (modernized and gender-neutral where gender is not specific), Legge, and the original Chinese
• ️ Easter Eggs: Hidden treats and insider nods for the observant

⸻

✨ Why users love it:

Because it's more than just a divination app. The commentaries draw from a rich tapestry of influence — Lao Tzu, Doctor Who, the Grateful Dead, T.S. Eliot, Dylan, Pynchon, Tarot, MLK, Emily Dickinson — all woven into readings that feel startlingly relevant and emotionally resonant.

This isn't just software. It's a modern conversation with the ancient Tao.

⸻

No phony parchment. No cartoon sages. No lottery numbers.
Just a powerful tool for reflection — refined since 1989, when I first released it via CompuServe and floppy disk.
